Brian's Graduation= Empty Nest

Congratulations little brother! I am so proud of you.

Dear Mom and Dad,

Your baby bird has just graduated from high school.
I hope you can make the house still feel like a home.

Remember....
A chair is still a chair,
Even when no one is sitting there.

All of us are going to be out and about; flapping our wings.
Don't worry.
We will all fly back home for the winter.

Your baby bird has just graduated from high school.
I hope you can make the house still feel like a home.

Remember....
A room is still a room,
Even when there is nothing there but gloom.

Thank you for bringing us into this world.
Blessed to have you in our lives.
We love you.

Good luck with the empty nest,

Your Fledglings

Reunite Relive {CHAOS x CADC}

In college, I was apart of a hip hop dance crew 'CADC' (Chinese Association Dance Crew) at the University of California, Irvine. Once a year the alumni team 'CHAOS' (Chinese Association Old School) get together to perform at the intermission of a culture night show put on by the Chinese Association club on campus.
There is something about being on the big stage that really gets your adrenaline going.
It's a time to shine and be in the spotlight.
Beware after performing, you might pass out from overly exuding yourself with full-outness of hip-hop moves.
But once you wake up, it's time to put on your party hat.
drink up.
and enjoy the company of....
two.
she & Him.
NOT her.
them.
and you all!
until it's time to hug and say goodbye.
goodbye.

Los Angeles Faith Chapel

Today I had a chance to visit Rwang Pam's church in Inglewood, California. It was a great cultural experience because Rwang is from Nigeria and his father started this church 15 years ago in hopes of providing a place of worship for Nigerians who have moved their lives to Los Angeles and the greater area. Though of course, you do not have to be Nigerian to attend the church. There is one caucasian female member of the church. She also took part in the soul train line, down the center aisle to present her offering at the alter of the Lord; while a Nigerian song uplifted the spirits of all in the room. The service lasted about three hours which is longer than normal because this particular Sunday happened to be a special women's appreciation day of some sort. I noticed the children were getting a little restless while their parents were being blessed by the message, singing praises, and lifting up prayers to God. I too left the church feeling encouraged and in high spirits. Thank you L.A. Faith Chapel for having me! Here are more pictures:
